THE VALLEY'S MOST QUESTIONABLE BAR CHECKLIST

Find your kind of dive.

Trough in the restroom? Darts in the corner? A jukebox, cheap beer, fried pickles and three regulars who own their stools? Search the Valley's neighborhood bars by the details that actually make a dive.

The listed bars include classic dives, low-key pubs and some game-focused neighborhood bars. A tag means we found a source mentioning that feature; an absent tag means unverified, not unavailable. Some locations are research leads needing current confirmation. Prices, rules, smoking permissions, and equipment can change. No bathroom troughs are confirmed yet.

DIVE BAR FIELD GUIDE

The weird stuff matters.

We're collecting firsthand reports of trough urinals, cigarette-friendly areas, jukeboxes, cash-only machines, exceptional bar appetizers, mystery entrances and anything a normal restaurant website would never tell you.

Idaho law allows qualifying bars to permit indoor smoking in some circumstances, but that is not proof that a specific bar permits it. Smoking policies and local rules must be confirmed directly with each venue. “Good apps” is a subjective claim, so the filter currently tracks a documented appetizer menu rather than promising quality.

If you've spotted a trough urinal, found an old-school dartboard, or know where the fried pickles are worth the drive, send the details. We'll research it before adding any public tag.

Please don't include identifying information about other patrons.
